The Victoria Theatre Trust formed in 2004 with the aim of saving the Victoria Theatre from permanent closure and to ensure it survived as a cinema and theatre.
It is a charitable trust made up of local people who are committed to the restoration of the historic 1912 theatre and its continued operation as the thriving entertainment heart of Devonport.
The theatre is owned by Auckland Council and the trust has a long-term lease to operate, maintain and restore the theatre.
The trust re-opened the Victoria Theatre in 2010 after an intensive community effort and is delighted that The Vic is now an integral part of Devonport life.
